This “C Word” Might Be the Key to Your Next Breakthrough
Nov 23, 2025The One Thing That’s Been Missing (And It’s Not What You Think)
Lately, I've been having a lot of what I call “real talk” moments with folks, entrepreneurs, artists, even the barista who made my oat milk latte a little too perfect. And what’s wild is, these convos, with all their different flavors, keep circling back to one theme.
No, it’s not AI. Not hustle culture. Not even marketing tactics. It’s something way older than the internet… and way more powerful.
You see, in a world obsessed with reach, scale, and automation, we’ve gotten pretty damn good at broadcasting. But we kinda suck at connecting.
We’ve traded depth for convenience. Replaced long chats with fire emojis. Swapped shared space for shared Wi-Fi.
And you know what? We’re feeling it.
I can look around right now, physically, metaphorically, and see it. The burnout. The loneliness. The subtle sense that something’s just… off. And I believe a huge piece of that puzzle is how we’ve let true, honest, vulnerable connection slide into the background.
But here’s the good news: it’s not gone. It’s just been ignored. And we can bring it back intentionally.
I’ve got people in my life I’ve never met in person, folks in New Zealand, Thailand, the UK, and I swear I feel more bonded to them than some people I went to high school with. Why? Because we show up. We check in. We get real, even through a screen.
That’s the kind of presence I’m talking about. It’s not hard. It doesn’t need a funnel. You don’t need a masterclass. You just need to give a damn.
So if you’re feeling off… maybe it’s not burnout. Maybe it’s not your business model. Maybe, just maybe you’re craving connection. And if that’s the case, don’t wait for someone else to fix it. Be the one who goes first.
Text a friend. Record a goofy video message. Reply with more than a thumbs up. Meet someone in person, no agenda, just because. And if you’re in business? This is your unfair advantage.
People don’t just want content. They want contact. They want to feel like you see them not some AI script or bot. So let’s bring it back. Let’s make space for it. Let’s choose people over pixels.
Thanks for being one of the good ones, the ones who still value this thing that can’t be bought, hacked, or scaled… but that can absolutely change everything.
