How To Gain Independence Over The Man

It's 4th Of July or Independence weekend here in the States and the word "Freedom' is being thrown around a lot.

But there's a lot more to freedom than just escaping England or tyrannical rulers.

There's also occupational freedom and leaving a job you don't like.

Slaving away in traffic, a cubicle, or to a time clock is definitely another form of imprisonment if you ask me.

I remember the last job I had, 12 years ago. I'd sit in my private eye van for ridiculously long hours staring at some door waiting for my suspect to come out. Sometimes they never did. It was the most boring job ever.

I kept myself occupied by reading copywriting books and materials from guys like Gary Halbert, Dan Kennedy and John Carlton.

I was fascinated with these works of genius and I knew it wouldn't be long before I too had my freedom.

But there was one book that helped me finally tell the man "Take This Job And Shove It".

One book that totally transformed my life.

One book that let me know I could forever gain Independence.

Would you like to know what that book was?

Click Here To See The Book That Helped Me Gain My Independence Over The Man

I strongly urge you to buy that book if you need a dose of inspiration and a road map to breaking free.

For the longest time, it was priced at $297.

I'm shocked what this sells for today!

It's worth 100 times that for sure.

Grab The Book Here. You Won't Regret It.

#44 Email Deliverability Tips w/ Chris Lang

Play

On this week’s episode of The Profit Moffatt Show, we chat with The Email Deliverability Jedi Chris Lang all about email deliverability.

I kind of think email is like your brain in that it only works well when it’s opened. But if the emails are landing in the promotions folder, or even worse the spam folder, they may never be seen, nor opened.

What is the promotions folder? See the 3 tabs on the image below. From left to right you see, Primary, Social, and Promotions. You want to land in the Primary tab if you want the most amount of people to see your email. (See image below)…

Gmail Primary Tab

The truth is, many practices will land you in the promotions folder. In today’s podcast, Chris Lang is going to share ways to stay out of this folder and how to get more of your emails read.

Now before we start, it’s important to understand a few things. None of these rules or tips are absolutes. You may see people violating a variety of these things and still landing in the primary tab.

Also, this is not about trying to game Google or Gmail. Anytime you try to game Google, you’re running the risk of suffering a penalty that you’ll wish you away like a bad cold sore.

So, without further ado, here are the top 10 things you can do to try and remain in the primary tab. Let’s count them down backwards from 10 to 1…

10. Give up the perception that your pretty emails matter. Often, those pretty emails could be hurting you more than helping.

9. Don’t email only when you’re promoting something. You should really strive for engagement with your emails subscribers and if all you do is pitch products, people will be less inclined to open your emails and engage with you.

8. Your emails should be optimized for mobile phones.

7. Business names will often land you in the promotions tab. Try using your real name instead of the company name.

6. Using lots of images and the same image in every email is an easy way to land in the promotions tab. You may want to rethink using that corporate logo in every email.

5. Too much HTML from templates and such can hurt you. HTML screams business, not a real person.

4. Don’t add the same signature file with a bunch of links in every email. You want to mix things up.

3. Try to keep emails to 1 or 2 links. Less is more. Normal people don’t send emails to friends with 5 or 6 emails in them, and you shouldn’t either.

2. Give people whitelising instructions. Don’t just ask them to whitelist you, but provide them instructions.

1. Use one from address and stick to it. Also, don’t use free email addresses like Gmail or Yahoo.

“99% sure I’m going to quit communicating via social media. Just trying to figure out how to make it feasible with my existing businesses. And yes, I understand the irony of posting this on social media.”

I said I was going to make a video with my explanation but I thought a podcast was a bit easier, so here you go. You can listen by hitting the play button above.

Are we brainwashed into going after money? Jayson sure thinks so.

In this episode of The Profit Moffatt Show, Jayson Shawver talks about “Profit With A Purpose”.

He had quite a bit of success selling t-shirts online but he got sick of selling pit bull designs that he didn’t really care about.

Being interesting in things like quantum mechanics, meditation and sacred geometry he sought out a business venture that more closely aligned with his passions and purpose.

If you’d like to see one of the projects he’s helping out with right now check out Subtle Energy Sciences at…

Thieves Get Trolled Hard

In life and business, there’s always going to be ups and downs. It’s inevitable. Not much you can do about it.

Or is there?

I’m a firm believer that it’s not what happens to you that matters, but how you react to such events.

When you’re a popular online personality you become a wide open target for haters, trolls and all kinds of weirdness. And for many, this can be too much to stomach

However, for every hater or troll, you always have the option of how you respond. Keep in mind, this response can often be a glorious opportunity for you to shine instead of lowering yourself to the bowels of these haters. It’s a perfect chance for the public to see how you are going to rebound after whatever attacks come your way.

I’ve always welcomed trolls because I’ve leveraged their idiocy into traffic and sales while galvanizing my audience at the same time. Thanks trolls.

There’s almost always an opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade.

Case in point…

Frijoles & Frescas Grilled Taco shop was recently robbed in the middle of the night.

At first glance, this would seem like a horrible evening. But these store owners reacted in a brilliant fashion. Check out this YouTube video and how they turned the robbery into a epic PR stunt for their tacos…

Let’s face it, the insurance company is probably going to take care of the losses. But the owners of this taco shop were opportunistic thinkers and instead of being a victim of this crime, they went on the offensive and used their creativity to create an incredible ad for their taco shop.

This video is just one example of how to turn a miserable experience into a positive one. With an open mind, you may be able to take any bad luck you’ve been having and turn it into catalyst for something great.

Keep that noggin open!

PS: Pro-Tip – If you’re ever in San Diego and jonesing for a burrito at 2:00 am after strolling home from the bar, be careful eating at any joint called Roberto’s. In the morning, you’ll discover why locals call it Regrettos.

It’s definitely not worth robbing, let alone paying $10.
